Description

Original, dark red label with silver text, deep groove.  Mingus, bass with co-leader, Thad Jones, trumpet; Max Roach, drums; John Dennis, piano. 4 tracks.

Cover:   VG(-)   1 - 1 1/2" scotch tape repair on the top edge at the insert edge. 3 - 1 1/2" scotch tape repair on the bottom edge. The is a 7" split on the bottom edge. The split has been repaired with the scotch tape. A small amount of corner wear.

Record:  VG++ to Mint(-)   Visually shows no wear. Played only a few times with care.  There are 2 or 3 faint, short, light surface rub marks.  These do not affect the sound.  On Side A there are several light, random clicks with a small number of light clicks that repeat for a few revolutions toward the end of Track 2.  This slight noise appears to be in the pressing as there is no visual indication of wear. On Side B there are 5 or 6 very light, random clicks on Track 2.  The noise described is very light and not a function of wear.  I have graded the record conservatively.  Essentially it is close to Mint and in particularly fine condition for an early 10" L.P. pressing.  Audibly checked.
