FORMAT: 12" 33 1/3 RPM LP
ARTIST: Charles Mingus
TITLE: Pithecanthropus Erectus
LABEL: Atlantic
NUMBER: 1237
MONO/STEREO: Mono
LABEL DESCRIPTION: Black NYC Atlantic AT in dead wax
GRADE & DESCRIPTION (COVER): EX+ VERY Nice laminated cover, no splits, far below average wear, slight corner wear (see photos)
GRADE & DESCRIPTION (RECORD): VG Great condition, Looks above play grade but plays far above. Some ticks and scratches but I really enjoyed the listening experience of this one which I don't when they are compromised - in storage 50+ years. (a record this nice and rare would benefit greatly from a VPI cleaning but I say that with all old valuable records and you will see this on all my listings. I do not VPI them as some collectors do not like it.)
ADDITIONAL NOTES: A very nice copy in its original form.
SHOP OUR STORE: View my sellers page . I am beginning to sell a collection of rare Jazz recordings from a doctor's estate. Many are once-played and/or NM. Make sure to add me to your "Favorite Sellers" list as I will add many lp's per week - both auction and B-I-N.
