Description

My late father Lewis was friends with the late, great guitarist/composer/journalist Robert Yelin. Through Mr. Yelin, he was able to meet many jazz cats. One of those cats was jazz genius Charles Mingus, who graciously signed a few records for him. Mingus signed this one smack dab on the front cover in blue ink with the inscription: Best Show Ever, Charles Mingus. The wax is in VERY GOOD condition. It shows light scuffs on both sides, but nothing feelable. It still has some of its original luster after all of these years and plays like a dream. The original Atlantic Records inner paper sleeve is present. It bears a pencil mark and a touch of discoloration. The actual signed sleeve is also VG. Ring wear is present, as is corner/edge wear, a touch of discoloration, and some chipping. No splits. A chance to own an essential piece of jazz history awaits!
