Hi, I am delighted to bring to you a piece of Jazz History on behalf of my friend the Musician & Songwriter Peter Crumpton, AKA Peter Comton “Sound of the Eleven” 77 Records, please see the notes from Peter himself reflecting on the day that he met Mingus at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, and his accounts of the event of that day this wonderful record being signed by Mingus not once but twice,
Mingus At Monterey - US Jazz Workshop – JWS 001, JWS 002. 2 × Vinyl, LP, Set. Recorded September 20th 1964, at the Monterey Jazz Festival, A private pressing available through mail order only from Mingus himself. Very small pressing, of 500 this is number ( 466 ) See photo ( 5 )
both the records are in Excellent Condition, The vinyl retains its deep rich black lustre there are no scratches just a few hairline marks when viewed under extreme light, I have played the LP's in part there is a little crackle here and there and would benefit from a machine clean both the Records are Excellent,
The Gatefold Jacket has a sticker on the front top left, 500 written neatly on the top right corner, The bottom back seam is split see photo ( 12 ) plus there is a historic repair to the text on the spine see photo ( 11 ) all the text inside the Gatefold and the back of the Jacket can be read clearly - The Jacket is VG
The generic accompanying letter from Mingus has a few creases some signs of aging but all text can be read clearly, a marvelous Item with great British Jazz Connections signed twice by the genius that is Mingus!

Mint Minus LP has been played but no obvious signs of use.
