Description
All four EPs from Charlie Mariano's second leadership session ca. 1950-51 on Imperial IMP 120, 123, 124, 125. These rare recordings were also issued by Imperial on two 10" LPs. In either format, they are considered seminal bop recordings.
All four records are in or new condition, with immaculate playing surfaces and high luster. The covers are as follows: 120 has light rubbing on the bottom and top seams - but so splits or significant wear - and a a very light "147" on the front; 123 has price sticker glue residue at the top right corner of the front, a 1 1/2" break on the bottom seam at the spine, and a light crease at the lower left corner; 124 has light rubbing to the front and along the bottom seam, and a very neat 2" repair to a split on the top seam at the opening; 125 has just light rubbing to the front. The backs of all four covers are clean and unmarked.
