Description
Charlie Parker on red vinyl 12 inch Dial 901
This a 12 inch 33 1/3 red vinly LP "The Bird Blows The Blues" in a very strong and glossy "VG" condition (using the standard vinly grading NM, VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G+, G, G-). The beautiful red vinyl looks VG+ or better, but on my record player, it plays with a little bit of a background crackle that is well below the music, that I mainly noticed it between songs.
This record comes without a cover. I am not an expert on post war jazz recordings, however, this could very well be the 1949 issue of Dial 901 that was issued as a promo version without a cover. If any experts out there want to fill in the details, please do, and I will update the listing.
I am listing some small selection of absolutley top end Blues and Jazz 78s as well as some nice R&B and Modern Jazz 78s. Please take a look!
Grading is careful and conservative, and as always, your satisfaction is guaranteed or a full refund. I have sold thousands of the rarest jazz and blues 78s to serious collectors over the years who are very satisfied with my grading so bid with confidence.
For international buyers--I will be glad to hold records from weekly auctions to help save shipping costs.
Policies 78rpm Record Grading Back to Top I grade carefully and conservatively using the standard 78rpm grading system, which from Near Mint to Poor is: NM, E+, E, E-, VG+, VG, VG-, G+, G, G-, P.
