The record looks M- to VG++ and plays a strong VG+with slight surface noise due to pressing quality. Music plays strong without distortion. The record is bright and glossy and without spindle marks or scratches. There are a few very superficial scuffs which do not affect the grooves. There are 3 pops near the beginning of "Old Folks" which must be a press defect as I do not see a dig. The grooves do not show heavy wear or graying. The record might have been played a few times and was well taken care of. The label is deep groove both sides.
The cover is VG+. No split seams. There is light to moderate overall wear. Bottom seam and corners have moderate wear. Front cover has some dark "rubbing" wear spots. This yellow cover seems to be particularly susceptible to the problem. In this instance, it's not too bad and still some gloss on front and it looks good. .
I grade visually using the Goldmine grading code whixch is M, M-, VG++ (or EX), VG+, VG, G, F, P. The highest grade I use is M- and I rarely use it for 50s and 60s Lps. I spot play any potential problem areas and try to grade conservatively. You will be satisfied and no hassles.
