Description
For sale is an exceptionally rare pair of official BMG vinyl test pressings for Charlie Watts – Anthology, covering both LP1 and LP2.
Charlie Watts, legendary drummer of The Rolling Stones, was not only one of the most iconic rhythm players in rock history but also an accomplished jazz musician. Anthology celebrates this side of his artistry — the music that shaped his playing long before and throughout his career with the Stones.
Test pressings like these were manufactured in very limited quantities for internal quality control only and were never intended for public sale. Each record comes in its original factory sleeve with multilingual inspection sheets and the correct test press labels (date, catalogue number, weight, LP reference).
A genuinely important piece of Rolling Stones band-member history, capturing Watts’ deep roots in jazz and the recordings closest to his heart.
