Description
This is part of a big auction full of 1950's blues and R&B 45's that I'm running this week. There are many rarities from Peacock & Savoy as well as several from smaller labels. Lots of gems here! Keep an eye on the store as well, I'm doing a jazz 45's auction starting in early February.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1956
Notes: Original blue label pressing on Chess. Fairly obscure Chicago bluesman who only released a few singes with a band he called The Rocking Four in the 1950's. He did release some solo stuff in the 1970's as well. Great Chicago blues here, harmonica, guitar and piano. Has the classic sound.
Vinyl Condition: VG, vinyl has a handful of noticeable surface scuffs. They don't seem to affect play though, as this one sounds great. Plays much better than you would think at first look. No ticks/pops/skips and just a hint of background crackle in a couple of spots. The sound leaps off the record. The labels have some ring scuffing, worse on one side than the other. Overall great listener copy that will nicely fill a hole in your collection.
