Description
This is part of a large auction featuring blues, R&B and doo-wop, all from Chicago-based labels. There is a lot of great stuff here from many Chicago artists including Little Walter, Muddy Waters and other forefathers of the genre with few bonus listings as well.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1959
Notes: Blue label first pressing. One of just two records by this obscure bluesman out of Louisiana. This one was originally put out as the first release by Minit records out of New Orleans. It was picked up by Chess for national distribution shortly after. Uptempo blues tracks with some nice piano work. More of a Memphis style than most of the stuff on Chess. Great record!
Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in nice shape but does have a handful of small surface scuffs. It plays very well though and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels have some moderate scuffing, but no tears or stickers. I default to play grade so I'm going to say this just barely hits VG+. Take a look though, you might bump it down for cosmetics.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in a couple of weeks for another new genre auction: dance records from the 70's to the early 2000's.
