Up for bid is a rare 10" LP, "Chet Baker Quartet featuring Russ Freeman." Line includes Carson Smith (Bass) and Larry Bunker (Drums). This is an original press, released by Pacific Jazz Records (PJLP-6) in 1953. Here is a track listing:
Interior labels are black with a deep groove on either side. Stamped matrix info reads PJ-410 / PJ-411 with an "E" inside a diamond stamped on either side as well. LP is VG, with scuffs and light scratches on either side. LP plays with some surface noise (crackle, tics, & pops) - but no skips. A professional clean should remove some of the surface noise. Jacket is VG+, with a couple of seam splits. The seam splits are very small - each at the top and bottom corners of the spine. Each of these corners have a split about 1/4 inch along the spine and toward the mouth of the jacket. There is wear on all seams. There is wear on all corners. There is a crease in the front top left corner. There is ring wear and scuffing on the front and back of the jacket. Color on the front is still bright. An original press of this 10" LP is difficult to find in any condition! Don't miss your chance to pick up this extremely rare gem!
