I never use generic AI descriptions.
I have never seen one of these in person or
online in my life. This is a 1955 Pacific Jazz mono
promo copy with a stamp across the front cover
as well as a gold stamp on each center label of
Chet Baker Sings and Plays with Bud Shank, Russ
Freeman and strings. The record has a really nice
gloss remaining and is a STRONG VG
(borderline VG+). There are
no feelable scratches anywhere. Only one light
blemish area (see pictures) which looks
much worse than it is & does not affect play
and then a handful
of paper scuffs. Plays with a VERY light surface
noise which can be heard in quiet passages but
by no means is it overpowering. There is a
twenty second span on the last track with a faint
recurring tick that again is not overpowering. You

The sleeve unfortunately has completely split its
upper & lower seam so it opens like a book. The
spine is barely holding on as well. I was going to
try to restore it but I’ll leave that decision to
you. I’ve not even seen a listing for the promo copy
on Discogs so this one can’t be common at all.
It includes the original inner which does have a
seam split as well. I use the Goldmine grading
standard. This is a Hollywood press and I’ve
shown the stamps in the runouts in the pictures.
