Comments: The formidable duo of Sanders and Davis comes up with another first class medium tempo Northern Soul soul-stomper, with Jerry Butler’s brother providing a great vocal. Even George Clinton is in on the action as co-composer, along with Theresa Lindsey who cut the original. To complete the picture George Clinton would later record the song on his own with Funkadelic, released on Westbound. The self-penned B-side is also generating interest, by some even considered the better. It’s a Chicago style soul ballad.
