OK Ken, Chicken Shack, 1968, Mono Copy, Used.

 

I’m selling my record collection of around 400 vinyl albums from the late sixties to eighties.  Many heavy rock and blues + others.  Have a good look more and more being listed as I get round to looking, playing and cleaning them for grading purposes.  My username is Jimsstuff99.

 

I was a great Chicken Shack back in the late sixties and bought all their early albums. OK Ken is a great album and after playing it again today 12/2/19 I was reminded about the great brass and the piano of Christine Perfect (McVie).

 

I’ve inspected the record cleaned it with a microfiber cloth and vinyl spray and listened to it right through. There are plenty of light surface marks and some crackles particularly in the quiet bits. The sleeve is a bit dog eared but it’s all intact.

 

It wasn’t until I saw other listings that I had to make some checks and found that my copy is in fact a rare (apparently) mono copy.   I’m reducing my opening bid price from £24.99 to £16.99 to kickstart this one.   I don’t do offers  or buy now prices so if you are interested get bidding.

 

The Matrix / Runout is : M7-63209 A1  and on side 2 M7-63209 B1.

I am using the Goldmine record grading system.

 

Mint - The record is unplayed and still sealed (I do not use this particular grading on any record which is not still sealed!).

Near Mint - The record has probably only been played a couple of times (if at all) and may have a couple of very light marks which do not affect the playing quality at all.
Very Good+/Excellent - The record may have slight wear but should still have good sound quality. It may have some light scratches or light marks but no heavy scratches.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played several times and has either scratches or marks but should still play fine (possibly with some crackle).
Good - The record has been well played and has several scratches, it should still play but probably has lots of noise or even jumps or sticks.
Poor - Tatty and really only suitable as a gap filler
