You are bidding on a 1983 Vinyl LP from Rhino Records, containing a “Best Of” Collection from the Psychedelic Garage pioneers from the 1960’s, The Chocolate Watchband.” The vinyl LP was released on Rhino Records in 1983, (RNLP 108) and this LP appears to be an original issue from 1983.
The Chocolate Watchband was an American garage rock band that formed in 1965 in Los Altos, California. Combining psychedelic and garage rock components, their sound was marked by David Aguilar's lead vocals, songwriting, as well as proto-punk musical arrangements. The band's rebellious musical posture made them one of the harder-edged groups of the period with many critics labeling them as America's answer to the Rolling Stones.
We purchased this item decades ago, played it (and enjoyed it!), and it has been sitting in our home (vertically) for the last few decades.
The LP is in Excellent condition; the LP looks good, but it has been played. The LP cover is in VG++ condition; there is definite wear around the corners and edges. There is a diagonal "cut out" notch on the top right corner of the front cover. (See Photos)

“Best Of The Chocolate Watchband” (Rhino RNLP 108)
The first official Chocolate Watchband anthology was a triumph of sorts, as a collection encompassing the totality of recordings issued by (or as being by) "the Chocolate Watchband," this is unquestionably the best one going. "Let's Talk About Girls," which also opened their original debut album, opens this CD, and it's a loud, defiant garage-punk masterpiece -- "Sweet Young Thing," "No Way Out," and "Baby Blue" represent some peak moments for the official, classic Watchband; and then we jump to "Expo 2000" and "In the Past," good tracks (especially the latter) that aren't the Watchband at all, but the work of studio musicians. After that, it's back to the "real" Watchband for "I'm Not Like Everybody Else" and "Are You Gonna Be There (At the Love-In)," which arguably mark the group's high point as a recording act. "Don't Need Your Lovin'" and "Sitting There Standing" from the soundtrack Riot on Sunset Strip are also here, along with "I Ain't No Miracle Worker" off of Inner Mystique”.
