Chris Clark (aka Connie Clark) a six foot blonde Motown secretary, became one of their few early white singers. Her output from 1965-1969 was released on Motown's V.I.P. label. She is known by Northern Soul fans for her 1966 Holland-Dozier-Holland song Love's Gone Bad, as well as her version of Frank Wilson's Do I love you (indeed I do). She released a couple of LP's, the last of which in 1969 was CC Rides Again, released for Motown on its newly created rock label, Weed. In 1972 she was nominated for an oscar for co-writing the screenplay for Lady Sings the Blues, starring Diana Ross.
The copy for sale is the very rare US.A. release
The record is in it's original stiff card picture sleeve cover. For a record that's 47 years old the cover is pretty good, but it's not mint and has signs of wear and one small corner removed.
