Description

Chris Clark - Love's Gone Bad (Tamla Motown TMG 591) 1966.

I don't know too much about this lady, she released this, the first of three singles and one album for Motown and she really should have been far more commercially successful. She also duetted with the legendary Frank Wilson on "Do I Love You, Indeed I Do". Reminds me a bit of a female R. Dean Taylor in style on the A side, a moody, brooding, almost frantic tune. The flip is the original version of the track that went top twenty for the Isley Brothers in 1969 and The Elgins in 1971. Great stuff, classic Tamla Motown. Very hard to find. No original generic sleeve, supplied in a new white card die-cut sleeve. 

Tracks: Side A: Love's Gone Bad, Side B: Put Yourself In My Place.

Condition: Record: Very Good +. Visually the vinyl looks in just good condition, there are a lot of very light surface marks (spider webs) and a few slightly more prominent grazes. It has obviously well partied and mildly abused at some point, however most of the damage is superficial. It plays very well, nearer excellent. The worst that the aural damage gets is some crackle on the run-on grooves and a few light pops at the beginning and a background very light click for about four or five revolutions about a quarter of the way through. The flip is crystal clear but does have a few light pops and clicks at the beginning and a couple of light isolated background pops further on. Label: The A side has some wear around the ridge. There are two surface tears on the flip where there has once been a label attached. This has peeled the surface of the paper either side of the "Tamla Motown" logo. Fine scratch on the right.
