Description

Tamla Motown LP

Chuck Jackson

Arrives!

TML11071

Rare Northern Soul album by the hard to find Motown artist Chuck Jackson. Containing some fine Northern tracks like the amazing "To See The Sun Again", "Ain't No Sun Since You've Been Gone", and the funked up "Lonely, Lonely Man Am I" (Yes, a male version of the Lonely Girl dance anthem track originally by the Velvelettes on UK single TMG 521). Also includes Chucks most famous UK single track "Girls, Girls Girls" (which was on TMG 651).

Condition: Cover is EX- with very slight staining on the rear, slightest edge and corner wear. Only reason it's not EX is that it's stuck inside a clear plastic collector's walet (due to some glue reidue where a sticker has been removed in the past). The vinyl itself sounds excellent. No added distortion. No jumps. No sticking. Just the occasional low level pop or crackle. Visually though despite having a shine it does have scratch marks and wear. Labels are nice though, so generally vinyl is VG-.

I'm listening to the uptempo "To See The Sun Again" now as I write this description and I can't believe Berry Gordy didn't issue this as a single !!!!
