Drastic Plastic Records is delighted to offer the third and all-around best record of Southern California legends the Circle Jerks: Golden Shower of Hits.
The Circle Jerks (along with Black Flag, both of which had Keith Morris as an original vocalist) have come to typify the last great youth movement in America: The hardcore punk movement of the late 1970s and early 80s.
Golden Shower of Hits is the last album to be recorded by the band's original lineup of Keith Morris, Greg Hetson, Roger Rogerson and Lucky Lehrer, and where its predecessor Wild in the Streets (also available from DPR) took a more sardonic and heavier tone, Golden Shower of Hits is SoCal hardcore reveling in its most authentic, sincere, obnoxious, political, hilarious roots.
The songs ''Coup d'tat'' and ''When the Shit Hits the Fan'' were featured on the soundtrack to the film Repo Man in 1984.
