ARTIST: Clarence Williams Blue Five

LABEL:  Okeh 40006

TITLES:  Shreveport Blues / Mean Blues

 CONDITION:  V+E-

DESCRIPTION:  One of the harder to find Clarence Williams Blue Five discs, especially in decent shape.  This copy is a mix of shine and light rubbing, with no stripping in grooves, and plays like an E copy, loud, crisp and with a very quiet surface.  A few scratches produce occasional light crackle.

Over the next several weeks, I will be auctioning a consignment lot of rare pre-war blues 78s that includes many choice items in nice shape, so be sure to keep checking my listings regularly.  Also, if you have any higher end pre-war blues, country or jazz you might like to consign, please get in touch and I will let you know the service I can provide.
