Description

ARTIST: Clarence Williams Blue Five

 LABEL:  Okeh 4993

TITLES:  Old Fashioned Love / Oh Daddy! Blues

CONDITION:  E / E-

DESCRIPTION:  Classic Clarence Williams Blue Five sides from late 1923 with Thomas Morris on cornet, John Mayfield on trombone and Sidney Bechet on soprano sax.  Glossy grooves, but there is some damage on one edge of the record which gives the surface a grainy look in an area extending 1/2" into the playing surface both sides, creating a swish which is more prominent at the beginning and gradually subsides as the record plays through. It is visible on right side of record photo.  A few very light scratches as well.  NOTE:  I am only listing a few female blues and jazz items this week and will have more rare male blues for the following week.   I will be traveling and not able to ship these until 4 or 5 days after the closing, but should have computer access and could send out invoices as usual.

Over the next several weeks, I will be auctioning a consignment lot of rare pre-war blues 78s that includes many choice items in nice shape, so be sure to keep checking my listings regularly.  Also, if you have any higher end pre-war blues, country or jazz you might like to consign, please get in touch and I will let you know the service I can provide.

PAYMENT BY PAYPAL ONLY

PLEASE WAIT FOR MY INVOICE BEFORE SENDING PAYMENT

In addition to postage costs, an addition charge for the cost of packing materials (box, corrugated squares, packing peanuts) of $2.50 will be added to each parcel.

I HAVE BEEN SELLING 78S FOR OVER 30 YEARS,  MOST RECENTLY ON EBAY AS PART OF CLOUD 9 RECORDS.  THE SAME HIGH GRADING STANDARDS WILL BE USED WITH THE HIGHEST GRADE BEING E+.  RECORDS WILL BE SHIPPED IN NEW BOXES AND PACKED WELL BETWEEN CARDBOARD SQUARES.  IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED, RECORDS CAN BE RETURNED FOR  A REFUND.

ADD  BOMBASTIUM  TO YOUR SAVED EBAY SEARCHES AS I WILL BE DOING REGULAR LISTINGS THRU THIS ACCOUNT FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS.
