Description
Green label with silver text. Moodsville was a division of Prestige Records. Deep groove. The address at the bottom of the back cover is 203 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J. The initials "RVG" (for engineer, Rudy Van Gelder) is inscribed in the dead wax. 8 tracks with leader, Clark Terry, trumpet, fluegelhorn; Junior Mance, piano; Joe Benjamin, bass; Charlie Persip, drums. Recorded in 1961.
Cover: Mint(-) Intact and clean. Slight aging on the back cover. Slight edge wear on the top edge near the spine.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. No markings on the vinyl surface. Possibly played only 1 or 2 times with care. Side A, Track 1, a few crackles on the first few revolutions. Most are barely audible. Track 3, several light clicks on the first several revolutions. 2 faint, isolated , very light clicks towards the end of the Track. Track 4, faint groove noise with 4 or 5 very light clicks during the piano solo and at the end of the Track. Side B, Track 1, 1 or 2 faint clicks on the first 2 or 3 revolutions followed by 2 or 3 faint clicks in 3 separate places. An additional 2 or 3 light clicks at the beginning of the piano solo. 3 isolated clicks on the last 1 or 2 revolutions. Track 3, 1 faint click near the beginning of the Track. 2 very light, isolated clicks further along the Track. Track 4, 3 or 4 faint clicks, barely audible on the first 3 or 4 revolutions. I have detailed the slight noise which is in the pressing and not a function of wear or care. Overall, fine quality.
