Description
This is a very nice stereo 180g pressing of Malcolm Frager playing Prokofieff’s second piano concerto and Haydn’s Sonata No. 35 in E-flat (solo piano) with René Leibowitz conducting the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra as issued by Classic Records (catalog number LSC-2465).
The record is from my personal collection, was purchased new, and initially cleaned on a VPI record vacuum and treated with Last Record preservative. It was recently re-cleaned with an Audio Desk Ultra-sonic record cleaner. The record was recently play-graded using a Lyra Parnassus cartridge on a VPI Classic IV turntable with 3D tonearm.
The record is condition is as follows: side 1 is mint- with no scuffs or scratches and plays with 7 light ticks; side 2 has 2 tiny bubbles in the vinyl on the second movement of the Haydn sonata: one is ~ .25 mm and the other is ~ .75 mm. This results in 4 ticks with an additional 8 light ticks over the second side
The jacket is in excellent condition with no seam splits but has some very slight compression on the upper and lower right corners. It is the glossy cover type used by Classic Records for most of their 180g classical releases.
