Description
Hello!
Up for auction is one of the rarest of all Blue Notes and a gem of a record.
Clifford Jordan and John Gilmore - Blowing in from Chicago Blue Note Mono lp 1549.
What can I say about this record, if you're a Blue Note collector you're already well familiar with this one.
Vinyl is VG+ light scuffs with causes the occasional crackle in playback but the sound is rich and full and clean overall on this one. Vinyl is a flat edge pressing with RVG and EAR marks present, deep groove with the '47 West 63rd, New York 23' label. Vinyl does have a quick skip that does not repeat at the beginning of side 2 (Billies Bounce). No registered trademark under the blue note name... I guarantee you will not be disappointed with this one.
Jacket is VG with some flaking at the opening, corner dings, a little flaking at the outer edge but overall in really REALLY nice shape. The back is soiled a bit but writing is fully readable. The name "Woodrow Wilson" is written in cursive 4 times in small blue ball point pen... but knowing the rarity of this record and how nice the vinyl is it does not at all detract.
This is the only time I've seen a copy of this one in person and will likely be the last time I ever have a copy in my personal possession so snap this one up.
If you have any questions about this auction please feel free to write me, thanks.
I will not ship to Italy or France.
You will love this record.
