On offer here is a 78 RPM shellac record by:

Cliff Richard and The Drifters

Titles: High Class Baby and My Feet Hit The Ground

Label and Catalogue Number: Columbia DB 4203

Year: 1958

Two great early Rock 'n' Roll tracks here (and only Cliff's 2nd record!). The surface of this shellac disc is in great condition; there is one small mark on the B-side that does not affect the playing at all and does not sound. Otherwise it is in superb order, with no scuffs, scratches or 'squiggles'. The label has a couple of marks where the record has been slid over the spindle, but looks a bit better than the pictures 'in the flesh'.

I am selling the record (and the other 78's) on behalf of my neighbour who has had it from new. I have even seen the record player it was played on, and it was an electric one, not a wind-up, so the record has not ever been played with a heavy needle (and it shows!). Frankly, if I still collected 78's I would have paid her good money for this.

78's are sent in 12 inch sturdy mailing boxes and are protected by layers of cardboard, and then this is placed inside a larger box with newspaper scrunched up in it to ensure they reach you safely. This system has been 100% successful - the last time I sent some 78's out using this packaging system everything arrived safely (including France and Germany) and I got excellent feedback for the packaging!

POSTAGE: 4 Pounds for the UK. 6 Pounds for Europe. USA and other world areas is 8 Pounds. I certainly won't be making any money on postage costs here - the 12" mailing boxes and card protectors cost me a lot, although the outer box I get for free). Postage is first class economy UK (takes a few days but it is a lot cheaper and it is safe - I can post first class to UK but it will cost a bit extra) and airmail elsewhere (4 days for Europe, about a week for other destinations).
