Climax (Columbia Phonograph) 7 Seven Inch Record OLD

      Here's a tough nut to crack for you die hard lovers of very, very old disc records.  Pictured for your bid-o-logical enjoyment is a seven inch Climax record (mfg. solely for Columbia Phonograph Co.).  This record is number 465, "Creole Belles" by Vess Ossman.  Physically this disc is in pretty good shape given its age and composition.  I saw no chips or cracks.  There is a fair amount of surface wear but no scratches that make the needle jump or make the sound pop.  There is one very small dig or blister to the surface but it is well into the blank area between the music and the label.  I would consider it of little consequence.  As you can see, it has its proper metal insert at the spindle hole.  I played this disc on my cheapie electric phono.  There is a fair amount of surface noise but the music can still be easily heard.  (I wondered how much of that noise is amplified and what it would sound like with a proper acoustic reproducer and appropriate needle).  This disc was brushed but not washed.  Given a decent bath, I would think that the sound would improve.  This disc is of course, single sided, 78 rpm.  Hope you see something you just can't live without!  Thanks!  I'm listing 5 of these very old Climax, Pre-Dog Eldridge Johnson Victor (Monarch?) and Standard Disc records tonight.  All are 7 inch diameter.  Combining wins is no problem.  Just wait for a combined item invoice.  Also, I'm leaving the question of insurance up to the buyer.  However, I do STRONGLY recomend that you choose insurance.  If you do want it,  just let me know prior to paying and I'll send an invoice with insurance added.  If you choose not to insure then you are responsible for any damage incured in transit.  Thanks!    

      A word about my lack of feedback.  I've been a member of eBay for almost 12 years.  However, I haven't sold anything in the last couple.  In that time, eBay revised their feedback policy to, in my mind, the detriment of both buyers and sellers.  I for one no longer believe that a buyers feedback can be counted on as sellers can only leave positive feedback.  Sellers too are at a disadvantage since buyer feedback can be used to hold them "hostage".  I worked long and hard to maintain a perfect feedback record over the years and I have no interest in seeing it being artificially altered.  To that end, I established this new seller I.D. to use for my resumed sales activity.  If you wish to check my true feedback, go to the site map, click view a members feedback and then type in:  lietz.  If you go back a couple of years you will see lots of very happy buyers I've dealt with. 
     Also, used to be I always charged actual shipping costs only.  There was never a "packing" or "handling" fee.  However, with the creation of eBay Buyer Protection (which I thing is a good thing) sellers have had to take some actions to protect themselves.  To that end, I will be adding the cost of "Delivery Confirmation" to any sale shipped via U.S.P.S.  This protects me if a shipment is uninsured and allows the buyer to track the shipment if they so wish.  Lastly, some shipments that are very fragile will have mandatory insurance added, at actual cost.  Thanks for your understanding.
