Description
Released by Stateside in 1972, cat # SS-2201; this is “Cool Jerk” / “Talkin’ bout A Woman” by The Coasters.
According to the guides, this record was withdrawn before going on sale. This is a factory sample though the sticker is now detached from the A-side label. You can see where the label has come from, but other than the glue residue, both labels are clean. I can’t make out any spindle marks on either label, There is a small mark on the A-side vinyl not affecting play. The B-side is unmarked. The record grades as at least excellent and comes in a Stateside sleeve.
All of these singles come from the same source – an original 60’s Top Rank DJ who started in the ballrooms and progressed to radio and record production in the 1970’s. The vast majority of the collection is mint or unplayed! There are a huge number of obscure and rare singles to come, so keep looking, as I’m sure you’ll see labels and records you haven’t seen in a very long time. All of these are one-offs, no duplicates so miss them at your peril! For the full story on the collection, please see our “me” page.
Postage and packing for one record will be £1 UK, £1.80 Europe and £2.50 USA and the Rest of the World. For two records, the costs are still just £1 UK, £2.20 Europe and £3.20 USA and the Rest of the World.
Payment by PayPal is preferred for all customers; though I will accept cheques or postal orders for UK customers. Overseas customers must pay by Paypal unless agreed otherwise prior to auction end.
I will combine multiple auction wins to reduce postage costs, so please remember to look at my other soul singles. Remember – over a thousand soul singles still to list, so remember to bookmark us as your favourite seller.
