Description
Cochise - S/T UK press UAS 29117 Rare track listing error NM (-) & Plays NM
Please Note:
This pressing has an extremely rare label variation for Side B, in which the Paul Simon song, "59th Street Bridge Song ('Feelin' Groovy'), is substituted with the song title, "Faker".
Please see detailed photo of this track on the Side B label.
Not even Discogs has a notation of that variation and there is no record of it anywhere else on the internet. The label gives a length of the track (Faker) as 4:59, however, the actual duration of the track is 3:35 - and listening to the track, it is clear that the song in question, is in fact, the 59th Street Bridge Song.
So this is more likely than not, a circumstance of a different track being intended for the final release of the LP, but either the band, the record label or the producer changing course after the fact, but some pressings went out with the song "Faker" printed on the Side B label.
You would have a very rare and collectible oddity with this album in your collection.
LP: (Graded) Near Mint (Minus) - according to Goldmine record grading definitions. With this grade there is very little in the way of superficial hairlines or surface sleeve scuffs and what few there may be are difficult to see in anything other than the harshest direct light. Has outstanding plating sheen and labels are in great shape also. Super clean and ready for the record player.
As Play Graded, this LP rates an easy 9.5, just .5 from perfect Compact Disc lack of surface noise. Terrific dynamics and imaging from an early pressing run.
Laminated Gatefold Cover: (Graded) Near Mint (Minus) - light degree of shelfwear anywhere on the cover. All solid seams and fully legible spine printing. There is some minor peeling of the lamination on the upper right corner of the front cover (please see provided photo detail).
