SUPER RARE
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME A PICTURE SLEEVE VERSION HAS BEEN AUCTIONED FOR 5 AND A HALF YEARS !!! (LAST SOLD ON EBAY 21st MARCH 2010 FOR £134)

Now one of the rarest records from the Punk era – these quite simply never come up for sale with the original UK picture sleeve. Only 1,000 copies were pressed, but the story goes that the majority were distributed as demos in a Promo sleeve, usually with a sticker detailing the release date. (Demo Version currently fetches around £120.) According to Popsyke, over the past 8 years, only 1 copy of the picture sleeve version has come up for sale on Ebay, and that was over 5 years ago.
The reason I bought the record back in the day was that I met the group down at Rockfield Studios. They were nice guys, maybe a little over excitable, but still had time for fans. The A side is a classic, but I also liked the B side and probably played this more. The record still looks really good. There are a couple of very small marks on the vinyl so classed as VG+. Front and back of sleeve have circular marks from being stored away for 35 years. More obvious on the back cover. (See photos) Bottom right hand corner is slightly creased. Top of sleeve is bent and has a small tear above the “O”.

The band split up in 1980 (the same year that this was released) and the song achieved cult status due to its inclusion on the Bored Teenagers Punk compilation in 2003. It was also reissued in Japan in 2010 where there is still interest in the band. However, it seems that most versions of the picture sleeve have either long gone or are safely tucked away in collectors shelves.
