Description

Acting as an executor, I am starting to sell a private classical record collection lovingly built up over 40 years. Please keep an eye out for other records which I will be starting to list on here shortly.

Here we have:

Columbia SAX 5281-2

Mahler Symphony No.9

Otto Klemperer conducting the New Philharmonia Orchestra

See Photos for more details.

These records are classified as:

Disc 1 - EX. Disc 1 has a tiny minor cosmetic mark which does not affect playback.

Disc 2 - NM

Covers and Sleeves - NM.

Definition:

Near Mint (NM): The highest grade for a used record. Almost no signs of being played, perhaps a spindle mark or barely noticeable light mark where record has been removed from the inner sleeve. Cover or box may have minor ring wear but no bends, creases or writing whatsoever;

Excellent (EX): Record has only a few light (non-sounding) marks and has been well preserved. There is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover or box has slightly more wear than NM;

Postage:

UK: next day by 1pm. Royal Mail -Item sent first class, tracked, signed for £9.50

Asia/ Australasia: Sent via DPD - item sent tracked and signed for but not insured for £33.82. DPD collect from me once a week on a Wednesday. I will therefore have the record/s ready to send if fully paid by Tuesday. This is the default postage cost.

For Europe: Sent via Royal Mail - item sent tracked and signed for but not insured. Postage is £12.70. I can do a new invoice for this lower postage.

For buying a second record it will be an extra £8 for Asia/Australasia postage. An extra £2.35 for buying a second record for European postage. No extra postage cost for buying a second record within the U.K.

If you require insurance please contact me after the auction so that I can arrange and confirm cost

Packaging:

Unless advised otherwise the record will be packed as follows:

Record removed from cover (but remains in white sleeve); and layed on top of cover. I will put a cardboard mailer on the top and secure with tape so it can’t move then wrap in light bubble wrap and put in a specific reinforced cardboard record postage case which is taped together. The package is marked fragile on both sides and is useful to also have the buyers mobile number to add to the parcel force tracking when I take it to the post office. It is optional for you to message your mobile number to me once you’ve won the auction.

Happy bidding...
