Description

SAX 5283. U.K. 1st edition pressing from 1967. Mahler Symphony No.4 in G. George Szell conducts The Cleveland Orchestra. Condition: Cover displays some corner and edgewear, there is also a small split midway along the top seam (see scan 2). Graded VG+. Vinyl is clean and glossy both sides although some light hairline marks are visible when the record is angled under a strong light. Visually EX. Playback is generally excellent although there are several points where the usual occasional pop gives way to something more persistent. This is most noticeable midway through the 3rd movement at the start of Side 2. Here there are moments of definite intrusion. For this reason the overall grading is VG+.
