Commode Minstrels In Bullface LP - Fantastic Picnic - 1996 - Caroliner Related - with very special handmade cover.
This band is somewhat of a mystery, but it's my understanding that 2 of its members were Caroliner main creature Grux and Chris Cooper of Angst Hase Pfeffer Nase, Deerhoof, Caroliner and more. This release's covers and packaging varied from copy to copy. I think most had poster sleeves. Most had printed inserts to accompany the release. This copy has none of that. It is its own thing.
I can't help but love the colorful cover with gobs of paint on the backside, and lettering and drawings in marker on the front. The record was housed in a plain white sleeve inside the painted cover. I decided to remove the record into its own protected space between cardboard filler pads to help prevent paint dust or whatnot from getting on it. The beautiful cover does shed a little. Perhaps the inserts with this copy shed a little too. There is some dust involved. See my photos for the quirky little collection of papers that were placed inside the cover. I don't grade covers like this one. Any imperfections are instead features.
The vinyl looks good. There are some light scuffs. There are also patches of slight variations in the composition of the vinyl or perhaps unusual looking light surface paper scuffs (I'm having difficulty describing this "feature") that look swirly and reflective when viewed under bright light. I played the record all the way through both sides and I believe the sound is more than satisfactory. It was quite the enjoyable listen as a matter of fact. There is some background record noise in quieter passages and occasionally a pop or click. This is the normal way of a good sounding record out of the Caroliner-touched universe. It's one of those things you get used to. If you can tolerate a little imperfection with your unmusic, then this may be the record for you! I grade the record VG+ for appearance and playback but that is excellent.
It is worth pointing out something that I discovered when play-testing 3 different copies of this album. During the quiet beginning of side one - and to a lesser extent side two - it sounds like there is some serious record surface noise going on. The thing is, all three copies that I listened to sounded pretty much the same. Therefore, that record noise sound is either in the recording itself or must be inherent in the pressing. Just thought I should mention that so the buyer of this doesn't get alarmed the moment they set their stylus down on side one.

If appropriate I will add insurance coverage. Sometimes I will add signature tracking (USA) when your item is shipped. Signature tracking ensures that the postal service doesn't leave your valuable item unattended on your doorstep out in the sun or rain - it has to be handed over face to face. If you order something rare and/or worth a bit, be prepared to have to accept delivery in person.

When multiple items are shipped together, I can almost always give you a better deal on the shipping cost compared to the individual shipping costs. I promise to give you the best rate possible based on the items purchased and the shipping method required.
For "Buy It Now" items (most of what I offer), simply add each item that you want to your shopping cart. When ready to commit to buying, request a total from me from your cart and I'll send an invoice as soon as I can. Since I'm not a computer and I do other things like sleep and take the dogs for walks, you might not receive an immediate response, but I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you decide to pay for items you want individually instead of requesting a total from the shopping cart, I will promptly send back whatever money I can for a shipping discount.
- Some items are not compatible for combined shipping.
- Combining shipping might require changing the shipping method or increase packaging materials expense.
- A few items that I offer are not eligible for combined shipping.
- Of course it is ok to ask about combined shipping costs up front. You have to tell me exactly what you intend to buy and where it will be shipped. I can't always give an exact cost, but I can at least give you an estimate.

- For international sales I use ebay's "Global Shipping Program" (GSP) for most items. With the GSP, shipping costs cannot be discounted significantly.
