Cornells / Scott Engel "Surf Fever” Japan PS 7"
The Cornells “Surf Fever / Do The Slauson”United Artists LL-542-UA
Record condition EX- with superficial surface marks, no scratches or damage.
The sleeve is overall EX with a little writing on the front cover that has been rubbed out, marring the blue ink a bit.
While the Cornells can be credited to the a-side, the b-side is actually Scott Engel (Scott Walker) of Walker Brothers fame. The track not only was written by him but also playing the instruments. The production was by Jonathan Young (a long time collaborator with Scott before he went off on The Walker Brothers path).
The track has no input by The Cornells at all. In fact "Do The Slauson" is the same track previously entitled "Wak-A-Cha”, which was an earlier single released by The Cornells, but played by them! That single is also up for auction.
