Cover Only- Rare Original "Blank Back" Version 1 Stereo Introducing The Beatles

Normally I wouldn't be selling just a cover on eBay, but this is the cover from one of the rarest records out there. An original (non-bootleg) version 1 stereo of Introducing The Beatles, with the blank back cover. This is also not one of those cheap 70s bootlegs you see everywhere. Besides the fact that George's shadow is visible, there are many other reasons the give it away. According to sources on the subject "On originals, the back of the sleeve is glued to a one-quarter inch flap on the front (see image). On fakes, the flap is missing entirely or is too long. Additionally, the cardboard on fakes is usually thinner."

This copy has the 1/2" flap as specified, with thick cardboard stock used as well.

Also, boots will normally have pretty washed out fuzzy details, however, the printing here is just as perfectly crisp as the several genuine mono copies I have. You can tell just by looking at the "Vee-Jay" logo up close that this isn't a 70's photocopy.

Besides all that stuff, the type of cover that was faked in the 70s and later was the column back type, not the blank back. 100% guaranteed genuine or your money back.

The blank back cover was used only incredibly briefly, for the type 1 tracklist of the album. Mono copies are super rare, and stereo copies are even much more so. With the disc and cover together, this record sells for a large sum of money. Of course, this is just the cover and the money item is the disc. However, if you have a sleeve-less stereo type 1 disc laying around, this would be perfect. It's also cool to have just as a rare Beatles collectable.

The condition of the sleeve is worn, but could certainly be worse. There's overall wear, and a couple inch of splitting in the top seam. On the bottom there is old tape on it, covering a split in that area. The part of the cover closet to the opening on the bottom isn't split, though it starts to split a bit 3-4 inches before the tape. The spine isn't bad. You can read "Vee-Jay" on the top and bottom of the spine, and can read most of "Introducing The Beatles" (though it is flaking and worn in spots). Writing in pen on the back also, along with a light crease across the middle of the back side (probably from someone opening it the cover too much at some point).
