Description

An original 1st press of 'CREAM' on the UK Reaction label from 1966. Matrix A2/B1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover. We also have the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In real nice condition despite light to moderate use. Expect a few light marks per side - nothing that's going to enter the audio spectrum though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with just one deviation. Lovely quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. I have to say I was very impressed with this record -  it's amazing how a copy from way back in '66 can kick out such lush rich clean audio. What's not to like? It just plays all tracks great. And it plays clean into those low-key harmonica passages. Love it! At worst expect a few crackles in one spot per side. I did pick out a couple of minor ticks early on side 1. But that's all. Overall a cracking rendition. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) Really difficult to find in decent condition. This example is just a little above average. The front looks real good with just some creasing in places - nothing standout. The rear is always the problem area. This one seems to have survived the worst of the ageing process. It's certainly not perfect - but more than acceptable. A bit of handling and a few blemishes. Nothing unsightly. One signature top left on the rear. Expect some edge wear. The spine is quite worn [as is often the case on these covers]. It hasn't worn through - don't expect to make out any text on the spine. Overall the cover retains verygood rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Quite aged. No splits and bag is still intact.
