An original 1st Mono UK Press of DG on the Reaction label from November 1967. All attributes are perfectly aligned with very 1st press. Matrix A1/B1. "Windfall" publishing credit. "1967" quoted on BOTH labels. Really heavy solid pressing. The vinyl comes housed in an original Mono cover with full lamination [both sides!] and that very slimline spine, with format 'mono' mentioned top left on the rear. And if that wasn't sufficient proof we also have the original plastic bag warning inner sleeve dated to '117' - Nov 1967...the very 1st month of release. Anyone who's had the pleasure of listening to a well preserved mono 1st press will know what I mean when I say they sound 'sensational'. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection  we could only make out a couple of minor marks per side. One minuscule mark does sound in a very minor way [deets below>>]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with tremendous clarity. These original 1st mono's are renowned for audio reproduction and this example is certainly no slouch! Bags of dynamism...just what you need with DG. But very delicate/truthful reproduction which allows you to take in every last nuance even low-down into those quieter moments. Audio clarity this good is difficult to find...you'd struggle to even equal this level. Even the lament at the end plays really nice and quiet. If I were to be incredibly fussy I'd mention there's a minuscule mark in the last moments of 'Sunshine of Your Love'. If you really concentrate you'll just make out 3-4 very light ticks. Given that the guitar is shredding at this point - you'll have to concentrate to even make them out. Overall a  top-level performer..within the best two or three copies I've witnessed.
Cover (Ex+) If the vinyl wasn't enough to get your attention take a look at the cover. At first glance I had to do a double take because I couldn't really believe that this was a Nov 1967 copy. But it genuinely is the true definitive article. The preservation level is just astonishing - this is without a doubt the best example I've ever set my eyes upon. Beautifully shiny front and back. That lamination has perfectly preserved the colours in the artwork and there's absolutely no sign of light fade or wear anywhere. There's a single crease in the top left on the front and precious little else worth mentioning. The rear is borderline perfect. Let's be clear here - this is extremely unusual. The openings are perfectly sharp - and on a Nov1967 original copy that is almost unheard of. The spine, another problem area with this title, is immaculate. Literally no wear at all - the text is perfectly formed..no issues at all. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. It's basically a no sweat..FINAL UPGRADE.
Inner (Vg) Very nice to see the true original inner sleeve present. This helps to corroborate authenticity and completes the package. Lightly aged with no splits. The only issue is the inner bag has detached.
