Description

An original 1st Mono UK Press of DG on the Reaction label from November 1967. All attributes are perfectly consistent with what you'd expect of a very 1st press. Matrix A1/B1. "Windfall" publishing credit - the 1st available before they were revised. "1967" quoted on BOTH labels. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono cover with full lamination [both sides!] and that very slimline spine, with format 'mono' mentioned top left on the rear. We also have an original generic white inner sleeve with 'blue text'. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection  we could only make out a couple of light marks per side, a couple of very superficial trails - absolutely nothing remotely troublesome, or that would enter the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with two slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Very little to find fault with here...it's a keeper that's for sure. If you need to REALLY hear this title as it was intended do seriously consider this example - it delivers in all the right areas. Importantly it plays very nice and clean throughout. I have another copy on at the moment - but this one just plays that bit cleaner throughout. And the only vaguest deviations are in that finally ditty - "Lament", and then 'Going Wrong'. I'm picking up just a bit of faintest background. Nothing that noticeable at all - they just won't play quite as clean as the rest of the LP. Overall a blindingly good player.
Cover (Ex) A really very well preserved very 1st mono fully laminated cover. Beautifully shiny front and back with only a couple of thumbnail creases by the opening - and a couple of very superficial creasings in the laminate [on the rear]. That lamination has perfectly preserved the colours in the artwork and there's absolutely no sign of light fade or wear anywhere. The spine, which is often the problem area, is looking almost perfect. All text perfectly legible and pretty much no signs of wear. Edge wear is very limited indeed for this title. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Precisely what any serious collector should be looking for...
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Minimal ageing.
