Description
On offer here is a copy of Disraeli Gears by Cream, released in Mono on the blue Reaction label in 1966, catalogue number 593003.
The cover, made by E J Day is in great condition. It is laminated at the front and unlaminated on the back.
The front is unmarked and retains it's bright and fresh colours, with the slightest points of wear on the tips of the corners. I would grade the front as Excellent.
The rear of the cover, which is not laminated, is completetly unmarked and in Excellent plus condition.
The catalogue number and Mono designation are clearly readable and the box whixh they are in is clean and white. At the bottom of the back cover on the left hand side is "Manufactured in great Britain by POLYDOR RECORDS Ltd. LONDON" .
On the right hand side is "Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd. London W11 Patent Pending"
The lettering on the spine is all readable but four letters have the lower part of them missing (REA of Cream and S of Gears)
The vinyl retains its shine to both sides, and is unmarked apart from a small scuff on side two where the record has obviously caught the spindle. This is not a penetrating mark. I would visually grade as excellent.
The smooth blue Reaction labels are unmarked and have light spindle marks on both sides.
The matrix numbers are 593003A 1 1 2 2 and B//2 420 1 2 11.
All in all an excellent copy of this Mono classic, a must for any serious rock collection.
The record will be sent outside of its cover sandwiched between two 12" cardboard stiffeners and sent in a professional heavy duty record mailer, made by Covers 33. It will be sent within 5 days of receiving payment, by PayPal only please, and this is only open to UK bidders.
Generous postage discounts will be given for multiple purchases.
