An absolute rarity which does not come up very often at all in mono. This is of course the very classic Cream album. This vinyl is one of the best Mono Fresh Cream copies I have ever encountered!!!
It has a deep glossy sheen and on very close inspection only a few very fine very short hairlines can be seen. On replay the sound of the heavy vinyl is magnificent!!! There are NO jumps. NO clicks and importantly also NO background noises, an absolute joy to listen to this STUNNING audio!!!! So much better than the CD re-issue!!! The album plays great throughout, a credit to these heavy first presses. I play my records on the very revealing Linn Sondek with B&W floorstanders and Rotel amplifier and it really comes up trumps!!! There is hardly ever any background noise. Some achievement for a 43 year old record. The winner of this auction will likely be very pleased.
The top sleeve is also splendid and a strong EX!! Just two minor creases to the front and NONE to the back.
The original 1966 UK 1st issue "Patents Pending" credited MONO E.J DAY cover is in an EX+ condition, lovely and clean on the laminated front, maintaining all its original bright vibrant colour, the back is beautiful and clean, there is no unwanted writing and there are no seam splits, the spine is fully intact , a BEAUTIFUL cover!.
The vinyl is in EX++ condition, gleaming with all it's original shine and lustre, the vinyl plays superbly, the quality of this Mono 1st Pressing is OUTSTANDING!, playing with crisp clear clarity.
The labels are in EX++ condition, lovely and clean and crisp, there is no unwanted writing and there are no scuffs, the labels maintain their original blue colour, the spindle hole shows no wear.
The vinyl is housed in a polythene lined inner sleeve, lovely and clean and crisp.
Altogether a SUPERB copy of this RARE original 1966 UK 1st Press MONO LP by CREAM, FRESH CREAM.
This classic Cream mono album is getting increasingly hard to obtain now in any shape or condition!!!
