CREAM - 'FRESH CREAM'
This EXCELLENT UK 1st MONO pressing of their debut LP dates from initial December 1966 on the Reaction label: 593001
To date, this superior original mono mix has never been officially released on CD
Matrix numbers: 593001 A v 2 & 593001 B//1
Vinyl weight: 141g
The disc is housed within a front laminated 'Ernest J. Day' printed cover, complete with its original poly-lined inner-sleeve
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
Clean & bright with a handful of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT -
Both playing surfaces are clean and retain an excellent deep-gloss shine with no noticeable marks visible in strong daylight. Downgraded slightly due only to some wispy paper-type hairlines on side 2 visible directly beneath halogen light.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
A superb sounding copy which has received minimal careful play on quality equipment and is totally free from any groove/playwear distortion. All tracks play cleanly and clearly with a warmth and depth missing from the weaker stereo mix. My playcheck detected just a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks but no clicks, pops or any other distractions throughout.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this easily worn cover which retains an unscratched high-gloss laminate free from any 'thumbnails' or any other significant traces of wear. In fact, apart from a few light wrinkles along the upper edge, there really is little to fault. There is minor shelfwear to the lower corners but no heavy bumps or bruising to any and both opening edges are unworn.
The spine is clean & fully worded and both seams are smooth & unstressed.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
