The Creedence Clearwater Revival Box Set, titled Absolute Originals is another superb package from Analogue Productions. They assembled CCR's seven studio albums along with in-depth liner notes by Ben Fong-Torres of Rolling Stone fame, and photos by Baron Wolman and Didi Zill, both of whom were there to document CCR 'back in the day.' Thereís also an essay by Steve Hoffman, who along with Kevin Gray, re-mastered these gems. The LP box set will include an eighth record of choice songs cut at 45 RPM. Included will be rare mixes of 'Bad Moon Rising' and 'Proud Mary.' When these songs first came out, John Fogerty mixed them in very narrow stereo so that they'd be compatible with mono sound, which was just starting to be phased out. In 1975, they were re-mixed in wide stereo. Those are the mixes included on this bonus disc. At 45 RPM, the sound is incredible. This limited edition set is #376 of 2500 produced.I have owned this set for about 2 years and am the original owner. This is an open box set but these albums have never been played by me or anyone else. The books have been read. This set had a retail price of around $250, but yet would be very rare to find this set in a lower issue number..........LP's are 180gr records.........I have a reserve of $150 on this auction.....Thanks much for looking......If you are a CCR fan.....buy this set.....Will bring back many memories
