Description

An original  very 1st press of CCR DEBUT on UK Liberty from 1969. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in a genuine 1st issue cover with Liberty logo and, fully laminated, and pinched spine. We also have the original generic white inner with 'patents applied for' inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there a couple of light marks per side. They do sound - but only just! [see detail]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. A beautifully clean signalled player. If you are looking for best audio - I would be having a proper hard think about this one. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. CCR audio is some of the best stuff ever laid down on vinyl in my opinion. So, get yourself a clean 1st and it will certainly impress. Hardly any background. The only vaguely noticeable deviations are caused by those marks mentioned above. I'm getting one solitary click and a couple of minor ticks in 'Walk On Water' & a couple of ticks in 'Gloomy' [absolutely no big deal at all]. Then there's a few very innocuous ticks in the middle section of  'Susie Q' too. They're low in the mix so very forgivable and not distracting. Given the stellar delivered throughout - I would be more than happy to take that on the chin.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and that full lamination has done a fab job of preservation. Back and front are clean and flat - I'm not really seeing any signs of ageing which is very nice! Three thumbnail creases at the opening on the front. Edge wear is pretty light and the openings are still sharp. The spine is looking nice with all text legible. But expect a few stress creases. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit of ageing. A 1 inch split at the bottom seam.
