Description

Selling-up my extensive record collection. Lots of interesting records in the collection - do have a look at my other items, and there are new listings every week. I may have obscure things that you didn't even know you wanted.
For fans of CSN and / or Y, particularly outside USA, the huge 1974 tour was of great interest, and there was great enthusiasm to hear what they were doing. So releases of live recordings were very welcome - I think this one was released while the tour was still going on. Releases were generally audience recordings, as there were not broadcasts of the shows, and mixing-board tapes could not be (er..) obtained. This concert was at Denver, Colorado. Venues were generally large outdoor sports arenas - Wembley stadium, when they got to the UK.
Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look.
Cover - is typical for one of these - heavy-duty single card sleeve, with a paper info sheet stuck on the front. This one in good condition, a couple of little tears on the edge of the stuck-on paper sheet, and two bends / creases to corners, on the back.
Records - tracks handwritten on the labels - so I've pictured those, so you can see which songs are included. I have difficulty talking about audio quality on live recordings, as I tend to be satisfied if I can just tell what's going on. Sports arenas are not made for music, and indoors is better than outdoors, audio-wise. I've been listening to side three, because that's my favorite - one can certainly tell what's going on, just a certain lack of detail - a good recording of what the sound was, on that evening. Needs playing loud. The bass end is unusually strong, some of the guitar solos come across well, and vocals sound good. Record is crackly in quiet-to-medium parts, all through - not great vinyl / pressing. Neil's rare song, Pushed It Over The End (aka Falling Down)  comes across well. I also listened to most of side four, which has a once-per-rotation click on the first part of the (acoustic) first track, better after that, a fine version of "Don't Be Denied". Incidentally, an extended silence between tracks 1 and 2, but it does proceed to track 2. Visual inspection -  Side one - there's a tiny impact and a light fingernail mark on track 1. On track 2, a short scratch, a short impact, and a fingernail mark. Side two - two impacts, one small and one tiny, plus a fingernail impact, on track 1. A small impact at the start of track 2. On track 4, a small stylus impact / short heavy scratch, plus a light scratch across it. There is a tiny white speck in the vinyl, in-between tracks 3 and 4. Side three - just a small, mostly light, impact on track 3. Side four - has a light scratch on track 4, and there's a grain of something in the vinyl between tracks 1 and 2.
When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.
Postage at cost within UK - £3.10 plus 50p for a proper record mailer with two stiffener sheets of cardboard (or whatever's appropriate). Happy to do combined postage wherever practical. I'll charge you what it costs me - so anything up to six (or so) LPs would still be the same charge, £3.60.
I'm happy to send this overseas. See below for details, if bidding from outside UK - YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS STUFF. Dispatch will usually be "next day". Collection in person is welcome.
I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer. They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer. This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.
E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery and customs charges are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges individually for the items, then do not bid. HOWEVER, if you win several items, and pay for them all in the same payment, their system may well spot this and do combined postage. If this happens, pay what you're told, and I will refund the excess postage paid to me - if you buy three LPs, I would be getting three lots of £3.50, but I can send all in one parcel, so I only need one lot of £3.50, usually. The exception is, if the items you buy weigh more than 2 kilos altogether, I need to make two parcels - there is a special cheap postage rate in UK, for parcels under 2 kilos.  Overseas customers - please DON'T request an invoice - I can't make one, and it screws-up the e-bay system.
International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme. If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid. International postage to the following countries will be shown (this is the latest list that I've seen - lotta countries!) Australia Austria Belgium Bulgaria Canada Croatia Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Finland France Germany Greece Hungary Ireland Israel Italy Japan Lithuania Luxembourg Malta Netherlands New Zealand Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand Turkey Norway Poland Portugal Romania Russia Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden, United States, Antigua & Barbuda Aruba Bangladesh Barbados Belize Bermuda Bolivia Brunei Darussalam Cambodia Cayman Islands Dominica Ecuador Egypt French Guiana Gibraltar Grenada Guadeloupe Guernsey Iceland Jersey Jordan Liechtenstein Macau Maldives Martinique Monaco Montserrat Nicaragua Oman Pakistan Paraguay Peru Reunion Saint Kitts & Nevis Saint Lucia Sri Lanka and Turks & Caicos Islands Applicable customs charges will probably be shown to buyers in non-EU countries - E-Bay collects customs duty for the receiving country, wherever import duty is appropriate. If you don't want to pay the customs charges, do not bid.
I don't send to China (because I prefer not to), and I also don't send to Japan, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru, as importation of vinyl records is not permitted in their customs regulations.
