Description

ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This handsome and rather rare LP from Electrecord (ST-ECE 01870, Romanian pressing, black/silver label, stereo) features the splendid violinist Peter Csaba in a superb pairing of Mozart's Violin Concertos No. 1 in B-flat Major K. 207 and No. 2 in D Major K. 211.

The exact discographic details are as follows:

Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 1 in B-flat Major K. 207

> Szalman Lóránt conducting the Orchestra simfonic? a Filarmonicii din Tîrgu-Mure?

(rec. Concert Hall of the Tg. Mure? Cultural Palace in September 1980)

Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 2 in D Major K. 211

> Peter Csaba leading the Orchestra simfonic? a Filarmonicii din Tîrgu-Mure? from the violin

(rec. at the Marble Hall of the Casa Scînteii in February 1981)

Csaba plays with great warmth and lyricism and these performances deserve the widest currency.

This album was produced by Cornelia Cotaiba and engineered by Stefan Bonea. The cover photo / design was executed by Mihaela Constantin and the liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket – provided in Romanian only – were written by George Manoliu.

CONDITION:

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the jacket is EXCELLENT. There is a small bit of writing to the reverse side of the jacket and mild shelfwear, but that is all. There are no seamsplits, bends, or owners' markings and the album remains solid, bright, glossy, and attractive – overall, an excellent collector's copy.

The condition of the LP itself is near-MINT and the playback is superb – overall, a truly fine collector's copy.

USA Buyers: shipping delays from Spain (where I am) to the USA are extreme due to the current situation.
I apologize for the inconvenience, but I am advising USA buyers not to purchase from me at this time. Commercial shipping (e.g., UPS, DHL) is a possibility, but these are quite expensive and any such costs must be borne entirely by the buyer.
Please write with any questions, I will be happy to help.  - Posted 19 May 2020
