Description
Cure Mexican Limited LP Picture Disc entitled “The Cure Pornography” on Fiction (FIXD 7, 2383630P). To my knowledge, this is the original first picture disc issued for this album. It was shipped to me from a U.K. distributor in the late 90's or early 2000. I therefore, do not know if it was manufactured in Mexico or England. The record contains the tracks “One Hundred Years / A Short Term Effect / The Hanging Garden / Siamese Twins / The Figurehead / A Strange Day / Cold / Pornography." I used to own a record store and imported product from overseas. Most items were unsealed for Customs Inspection. I only received one of these picture discs, and I put it aside for my personal collection. I never played the album and it looks new. I repeat, this is NOT the later Polydor release or the RSD release. I do not believe it to be a boot leg copy, based on the writing and the fact that it came from a well-know distribution company that did not sell unauthorized material. I once had a nice color paperback of Cure special releases, but I sold it sometime. Perhaps, if someone has that same booklet (U.K. release, I think), I would appreciate there response as to it being listed.
