Curtis Fuller Quintet ' Blues-ette ' SAVOY MG 12141 (USA) mono red label with deep groove - rec. on May, 21, 1959 - original 1959 issue - on trail-off (dead wax) has stamped 'RVG' for Rudy Van Gelder Curtis Fuller : trombone - Benny Golson : tenor sax - Tommy Flanagan : piano - Jimmy Garrison : bass - Al Harewood : drums Side A : Five Spot after dark (Golson) - Undecided (Shavers-Robin) - Blues-ette (Fuller)Side B : Minor vamp (Golson) - Love your spell is everywhere (Goulding-Janis) - Twelve inch (Fuller) Visual grading : record is VG+ full lustre has light wear. Has some light unfeelable surface marks on both sides and also wispy lines. Clean labels with light spindle wear. Both labels have a light stamp 'Sample copy-Not for sale' Playing grading : record is EX plays well with loud and clear sound. Has few very light occasional ticks and minimal background noise in few quieter parts Cover grading : cover is Good+ has wear to corners, edges and to spine which has been repaired for some splits. Front cover has light rubbing on top. Back cover has light age yellowing and rubbing. on top has three 'Sample copy-Not for sale' stamps and another stamp with number '974'.
