PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
OFF-THE-CHARTS RARE unearthed psychedelic gem on the tiny, VERY collectible Pan World label from 196? Release year is unclear as there is NO Discogs entry for this 45 and absolutely ZERO Google hits. It's as if this beautiful gem never existed and just suddenly materialized out of a vacuum. Anyone with any information on exactly who "D" And The Sugar Cane Factory were please get in touch as I would like to provide at least a morsel of background on these guys. I've been collecting 60s psych for well over 40 years and I've NEVER seen or heard of this one before. I've contacted every hardcore psych collector and expert I know and none of them had any knowledge of its existence. None. I have a gazillion psych compilations and this one has NEVER appeared on any, even comps showcasing the rarest psych 45s in the world (most of which are vastly inferior to this one)!! Reverb drenched arrangements, top notch production, gorgeous Byrds-ian harmonies, everything you want to hear on a great psych 45. I've owned this 45 for well over 15 years and now it's time to release it into the world. This is the kind of 45 with which you can impress your know-it-all friends who know everything about music. Vinyl is just barely VG- with a small (less than 1") scratch at the start of My Mind's Made Up that can be felt but plays great. Labels are stunning.
