Grading: Vinyl is strictly graded according to Goldmine standards. I try to do my absolute best in explaining the condition of an lp to you in a language we can all understand. Once you have won an auction, your record is carefully packed and shipped in sturdy packaging. Paper items are graded visually with as much detail as possible.
SS = still sealed. Only sealed discs get a MINT grading from us.
NM- = near mint. Vinyl has no visible marks. Jacket is firm and pristine with no visual wear.
VG++ = Close to NM. Perhaps a light surface mark or beginning signs of strain on the jacket.
VG+ = moderate surface wear with a few surface marks and some moderate noise. Cover may have medium overall wear or some ring wear.
VG = generally based on visual qualities such as several light surface scratches. Often play grades higher and still a nice clean looking record.
VG- = heavy wear on record or cover.
G or G+ = Poor condition.
