ORIGINAL UK 1973 CHARISMA CAS 1056 LP - AN ORIGINAL PRESS BY B&C RECORDS NOT PHONOGRAM WITH ''3D EFFECT'' PLASTIC STICK ON LIPS.
SUPERB LOOKING VINYL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, NO SPINDLE MARKS. FULLY LAMINATED COVER WITH NO WEAR, TEARS, WRITING OR CREASING. 3D PLASTIC LIPS IN PERFECT CONDITION AND FULLY WORKING TO GREAT EFFECT!
DARIEN SPIRIT
A British folk-rock band notable mainly for the presence of bass guitarist Dennis Cowan, who arrived fresh from the dissolution of Bonzo Dog Band and went on thereafter to end up in the original band for The Rocky Horror Show. Darien Spirit were a brief, bright sparks in the Paper Bubble, Hunter Muskett style of melancholy of typically 'English' folk soft rock, with lovely haunting earnest songs faultlessly executed with acoustic guitars, bass, drums, piano and some lovely atmospheric swirling strings. Leaving behind only one criminally ignored single, and an album, Elegy To Marilyn. A few copies of the album came with gimmick 3D changing plastic lips stuck on a picture of Marilyn Monro's mouth. Without the lips there is No mouth giving the more common 'mouthless' covers a rather odd blank look. Of the band members, only Cowan and percussionist Frank Riccotti continued to be visible in the music business. Other band members Alan Waterson, Jack McAllister and Harry MacDonald vanished into obscurity.
