Description
Lovely 1960s LP of hit singles by the great Dark City Sisters. Highlights include: "Amagumbi Amane", "Tomati Yo Yo No. 3" and "Mokupi". Several of these tracks were reissued by Earthworks in the early 1990s for their (now out-of-print) CD compilation of Dark City Sisters hits. Also features sides originally released as the Flying Jazz Queens - same ladies, different name! - including "Retswa Gauteng", "Siyahamba", etc. All of these songs were originally issued as 78s on the HMV/Columbia labels between 1961-1966. Sleeve/record both in VG- condition; sleeve is clean with only minor defects (see photos); record plays well with no skipping, but consistent, low surface noise.
